Armenian opposition youth to stage anti-PACE demonstration

YEREVAN. – Youth members of the opposition Armenian National Congress
(ANC) will hold a demonstration Friday in front of Armenia Marriott
Hotel in downtown capital city Yerevan.
To note, on the same day the hotel will host a session of the Standing
Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
(PACE).
`Taking into account the fact that the international community’s – in
this case, PACE’s – inadequate response is a reason for permissiveness
in Armenia, the criminal governance of the country, [and] the
violation of fundamental human rights, the Youth Union of the Armenian
National Congress will hold a protest on [Friday,] May, 31, at
1:30pm,’ the youth’s respective statement specifically reads.
