ArmInfo. In Q1 2013 call deposits of Armenia’s banks grew by 14.9%,
with time deposits growing by 10%. The press service of Armenia’s
Central Bank reports that personal time deposits grew by 9.1%
as compared with Q4 2012 and by 41.2% as compared with Q1 2012 to
644.9bln AMD or $1.5bln. Corporate times deposits grew by 13.4% and
44.1%, respectively, to 210.8bln AMD or $503.5mln. As compared with
Q1 2012 call deposits grew by 33.7% to 408.8bln AMD or $976.5mln. As
compared with Q4 2012 liabilities of Armenia’s banks grew by 4.2%,
as compared with Q1 2012 by 29.3% to 2.2tln AMD or $5.2bln, capital
by 1.2% and 11.7%, respectively, to 405.4bln AMD or $986.6mln, assets
by 3.7% and 26.2%, respectively, to 2.6tln AMD or $6.1bln.
