30% gas subsidies to be provided by Armenian government if price rises
YEREVAN, May 16. /ARKA/. Armenian government will provide 30% gas
subsidies if the gas price is raised, Armenian prime-minister Tigran
Sargsyan said before the government meeting.
On May 14 ArmRosgasprom cjsc and Transgaz ltd. filed an application
with Armenia’s public services regulatory commission for review of the
current gas price.
The head of the government sent a letter to the chair of the
commission saying that socially vulnerable groups will receive
support.
`There will be public discussions held on gas price related issues so
that everyone gets answers to his questions’, the prime-minister said.
