Opposition is in `zero field’ – ruling party MP

Armenia’s opposition is in `zero field’, Republican party’s deputy
leader Galust Sahakyan told the reporters on Monday. He said its main
reason is the failure of the opposition to unite.
`We were glad that Raffi polled 37% at the presidential elections,’
Galust Sahakyan said.
He said Barev Yerevan alliance does not have legal, moreover moral
grounds to demand recognition of Yerevan City Council elections
invalid.
As to the votes the alliance has received, Galust Sahakyan said, they
were to get as much votes as they have during the parliamentary
elections.
He said if he was an opposition leader he would first of all upgrade
territorial organizations, speak with authorities and not in Liberty
Square.
`We have offered them control mechanisms, was it a bad offer?’ he
stressed, adding that Hovannisian again continued claiming president’s
post scattering the opposition.
