MP: TURKISH INTELLECTUALS’ VISITS TO GENOCIDE MEMORIAL INSPIRE HOPE

April 24, 2013 – 22:44 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net – Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan,
parliamentary group secretary Naira Zohrabyan, MP Vartan Oskanian and
other party members visited the Armenian Genocide memorial complex
on April 24.

Ms. Zohrabyan stressed the need for Armenia to achieve Turkish
recognition of the Genocide.

“I saw several Turkish intellectuals visiting the Genocide memorial.

Some Turkish intellectuals will hold commemorative events today as
an apology. However, the country’s political elite dares not admit
its guilt,” she said, stressing the importance of the Genocide
compensation.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
