Azerbaijan will always support Turkey in the fight against the
so-called Armenian genocide, Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential
Administration’s Social and Political Department Ali Hasanov told
Turkish TV channel TRT Haber on Wednesday.

“Azerbaijani people consider Turkey as the second motherland,”
Hasanov said. “Turkey’s problems are ours and its joy is our joy.”

“The real genocide was committed by Armenians in Khojaly,” Hasanov
said. “That real genocide was a massacre of over 613 civilians in
Khojaly during a night just because they were Turkic people.”

Speaking about the events of 1915, Hasanov said that one cannot be
responsible for the fact which did not occur.

“In reality, the events of 1915 were a betrayal and brutality committed
by Armenians against Turks,” Hasanov noted.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey’s predecessor the
Ottoman Empire, committed genocide in 1915 against Armenians living
in Anadolu.

Their efforts have achieved the recognition of the “Armenian Genocide”
by the parliaments of several countries.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
