The handing over of the World Book Capital title from Yerevan (the
World Book Capital 2012) to Thailand~Rs capital city of Bangkok will
take place in Bangkok on April 23.
UNESCO grants the title in recognition of cities that display quality
in their programs to promote books and reading.
There will be activities and exhibitions in Bangkok on April 23, as
well as a festive concert, at which Armenian female singers Inga and
Anush Arshakians will perform, according to the website of Arshakian
sisters.
