YEREVAN, APRIL 5, ARMENPRESS: Air ticket prices have increased after
the suspension of “Armavia” flights. That was confirmed by tourism
agencies. As representatives of Sidon Travel, Nata Tour, Abuacebuc
tourism agencies noted in the interview with Armenpress air ticket
prices had increased for more than AMD 20,000. Prices of tickets
to Moscow and Dubai have increased for AMD 30,000. Tourism agencies
are inclined to believe that price has increased due to suspension of
“Armavia” flights. Tourism agencies don’t exclude that the increase of
flights’ number will bring the prices of tickets to their usual level.

Armenia’s national air carrier “Armavia” air company made a decision
to suspend the flights starting from April 1, 2013. The air company
informed Armenpress that during the last three years the owner of
the company implemented funds from other enterprises belonging to him
aimed at the development of the Air Company. The situation became very
complicated and hence, a decision was made to suspend all the flights
and start the bankruptcy procedure. “Armavia” Air Company expresses
its gratitude to the whole its passengers, whom they worked with for
12 years.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
