April 03, 2013 | 00:17

Once the news about the cancelation~Wwithout even having started~Wof
direct flights between Armenia~Rs capital city Yerevan and Van,
Turkey, became known, Azerbaijani MFA spokesperson Elman Abdullayev
thanked Turkey, Sondakika website of Turkey reports.

Even though direct flights are still conducted between Armenia and
the Turkish cities of Istanbul, Antalya and Bodrum, the Azerbaijani
authorities raised hysteria in connection with the Yerevan-Van flight.

Despite the fact that Turkey has not yet informed as to why it decided
to cancel this flight, the Azerbaijani MFA concludes that this was
done at their request and expresses satisfaction with Turkey for
this decision.

But earlier, Turkey~Rs ambassador to Baku had noted that Azerbaijan
should not be sensitive toward the Yerevan-Van flight, since it is
an initiative of private companies and it does not affect Turkey~Rs
policy on Azerbaijan in any way.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
