ARMENIAN CHEMICAL INDUSTRY’S OUTPUT UPPED 36.7% TO AMD 757,9MLN IN JAN-FEB 2013
YEREVAN, March 29. /ARKA/. Armenia’s chemical industry output climbed
by 36.7% in January-February 2013 to 757.9 million drams, from the
analogical period a year ago, according to the National Statistical
Service of Armenia.
According to the statistical report, the plastic production in Jan-Feb
2013 stood at 1386,2 tons, 13.9% lower, compared with the same period
a year earlier, while that of varnish and paint products rose by 0.4%
to 752.2 tons.
Armenia’s chemical industry produced 209.1 tons of cleaners in
January-February 2013 (4.3% year-on-year increase).
Some 1, 895 kilograms of synthetic corundum (61.4% growth) in the
reported period was produced, no caustic soda and synthetic rubber
were produced in the country within the reported period. ($1 – 419.08
