GEORGIA LEADER VISITS ARMENIAN-POPULATED REGION

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili visited today the
Armenian-populated region of Javakhk to oversee the implementation
of a Georgian language teaching project, Akhaktskha.net reported.

The project, entitled Georgian as a Second Language, was launched
in 2009 upon the president’s proposal. The country’s Ministry of
Education and Science is responsible for its implementation process.
