ACTIVISTS PROTEST RECENT RENOVATION OF GARNI BRIDGE – VIDEO

YEREVAN.- A group of citizens gathered near the building of Culture
Ministry on Friday demanding explanations concerning recent renovation
of historical Garni bridge.
The activists are confident that after being renovated the bridge lost
its cultural value, while Ministry officials are claiming the opposite.
The protestors talked to the Ministry officials who expressed readiness
to hold discussions and answer all questions.
The action was directed against illegal actions of the Ministry which
resulted in destroying the bridge, activists say. During renovation,
modern materials were made and currently no element of the historical
bridge has been preserved.
