EDWARD NALBANDYAN PRESENTED GERMAN MPS ARMENIA’S STEPS IN NAGORNO KARABAKH REGULATION ISSUE

YEREVAN, MARCH 14, ARMENPRESS: Foreign Affair Minister Edward
Nalbandyan’s visit to Berlin launched with the meeting with
Bundestag MPs representing various parties on March 13. As the
Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia told Armenpress, Minister
Nalbandyan expressed his gratification regarding high level political
dialogue established between Armenia and Germany. In particular the
Armenian Foreign Minister highly evaluated close cooperation amid two
Parliaments, namely mutual visits of legislative bodies, activities of
inter-parliamentary friendly groups, cooperation within parliamentary
assemblies of international organizations.
In the course of the meeting the sides have exchanged views over
regional issues and paths to their solution. Edward Nalbandyan in
particular presented junctions exerted by Armenia and the international
community regarding peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict.
Edward Nalbandyan had a meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel
and Foreign and Security Policy Advisor of the Federal Chancellor
Christoph Heugsen. The interlocutors have thoroughly envisaged ways
seeking to further strengthen Armenian-Germany friendly ties, besides
wide scope of international and regional issues have been discussed.
In the conclusion of the day Germany Foreign Policy Council hosted
the Armenian Foreign Affair Minister. Nalbandyan delivered a speech
on Armenia’s foreign policy, responded to various questions raised by
present Foreign Affair high ranking officials, diplomats, political
scientist, and journalists.
