The region needs interior coordination, the thing Georgia and Armenia
do, Georgia’s political analyst Ramaz Sakvarelidze told on a Georgian
TV, commenting on the two-day official visit of Georgia’s Defense
Minister to Armenia.

According to Georgia Online, he said throughout the history Georgians
and Armenians have been in close relations as many Armenians have been
living in Georgia and together with Georgians build the state. Though
the analyst said what currently happens between the two countries may
be considered refreshment, review of the relations. He said currently
Georgia is reviewing its relations with Armenia and other neighboring
countries.

`The cooperation with Armenia is aimed at solution of regional issues.
It is well known that our region is rather complicated and is under
the influence of few interested states like Turkey, Iran, the USA and
Russia. Naturally, the region needs interior coordination not to be
split into different parts. Currently the process is under way,’
Sakvarelidze said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
