Hovannissian files a petition to the Constitutional Court

Former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian has filed a petition
to the Constitutional Court to appeal the decision of the Central
Electoral Commission, exercising his right provided by 3.1 point of
Article 100 and 9 point of Article 101 of Armenia’s Constitution,
news.am reports.

The preliminary examination of his petition must be completed not
later than 24 hours after the petition was filed, press service of the
Constitutional Court said in a statement.

The Constitutional Court will discuss the case during a meeting to
decide on considering the complaint.

Representative of former presidential candidate Raffi Hovannisian has
filed a petition to the Constitutional Court demanding that the
February 18 presidential elections must be declared invalid.
