“25 years ago our people suffered losses in Sumgait; people were
killed because they were Armenians. A quarter of a century later we
remember them. Nothing is forgotten,” the Heritage Party leader Raffi
Hovannisian stated today during the rally in Liberty Square of Yerevan.
He appealed to the rally participants to observe a minute of silence
in memory of the victims of the Sumgait pogroms.
