`Terrorist’ blackmails Executive Director of Armenia International Airports

Armenia’s National Security Service identified a criminal who
blackmailed Mr Juan Pablo Gechidjian, Executive Director, Armenia
International Airports C.J.S.C, and his family.
To extort a large sum of money from Mr Gechidjian, the criminal, who
introduced himself as a member of an international terrorist
organization, from January 21 to February 14, sent e-mail messages
containing death threats to Mr Gechidjian and his family. The criminal
demanded AMD 80m (about $200,000) from the Gechidjian family.
On February 14, Karen A. Simonyan was arrested.
