Azerbaijan and Hungary are likely to broaden their bilateral economic
cooperation as several high-ranking Hungarian officials are due in the
country next month.
According to the Trend News Agency, a delegation headed by the
country’s rural development minister, Gyula Budai, will be capital
Baku from March 11 to 14. It is set to attend the first meeting of the
Azerbaijani-Hungarian intergovernmental committee.
Later in the month, Hungary’s minister of national economy will be on
a three-day visit in Azerbaijan.
`Hungary is interested in the Nabucco West project. It is very
interesting to us and important to Europe, especially in terms of
ensuring Hungary’s energy security. We are hopeful to receive
Azerbaijan’s assistance,’ a source at the embassy was quoted as
saying.
