ALEPPO. – Armenian community of Aleppo continues steadily resisting
all problems caused by war.

There was no electricity in the city for four days and the power has
resumed only on Wednesday, community representative in Aleppo Zhirayr
Reisian told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He said the problem with bread production has been solved. Although
not all the bakeries are working, bread is sold in the stores and in
the streets. Reisian added people buy firewood to warm their
apartments.

In general, situation in Aleppo is calm, he said. Hostilities continue
in the outskirts of Aleppo. No casualties among Armenians were

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
