Yerevan/Mediamax/. Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili condemned
Prime Minister and Parliament of Georgia for pardoning “enemy of the
Georgian statehood”, Armenian activist Vahagn Chakhalyan.

“It was an anti-state step: agent of the Russian Intelligence who
works at undermining Georgia’s integrity was pardoned”, stated Mikhail
Saakashvili in the special address.

He stressed that “Vahagn Chakhalyan is not an Armenian activist
and doesn’t work for Armenia and works for undermining Georgia’s
territorial integrity”.

“Not the ethnic origin of Chakhalyan is meant here as we have a lot
of Armenians who honestly serve our country and are ready to sacrifice
themselves for it. Ivanishvili should understand that the person whom
he released upon the request of the Armenian Patriarch Garegin II
is a criminal, anti-state activist and it’s not just a great mistake
but a crime against our statehood”, Saakashvili stressed.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
