CBA AND EBD DISCUSS COOPERATION PROSPECTS
Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia Arthur Javadian met today with
Deputy Chairman of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Marat Jaukenov
and the delegation led by him, Aysor.am was informed by CBA.
Welcoming the guests, Javadian said that from the very first days of
its activities in Armenia, EDB has played a significant role in the
economic development of the country. The bank pays special attention
to making investment in small and medium business, which is one of the
important sectors of the Armenian economy. In Javadian’s words, the
Armenian side appreciates the priority directions of EDB financial
activities in Armenia and attaches importance to the development of
transport infrastructure, energy sector, agriculture, and financial
market. He stressed that these sectors are included in the long-term
investment projects of Armenian economy.
The sides discussed issues of mutual interest, as well as prospects of
EDB activities in Armenia and its cooperation with CBA.
