EXPERT: THE PROCESS OF THE KARABAKH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT WITHIN THE OSCE MG HAS BEEN LEADING TO THE NKR INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

The process of the Karabakh conflict settlement within the OSCE MG
has been leading to the NKR international recognition, political
expert Stepan Grigoryan said at today’s press-conference.
He also added that today the position of the Armenian party in the
negotiating process is rather strong. This is the reason, why the
Azerbaijani party wants to fail the process within the frames of the
OSCE Minsk Group, blaming it for inactivity, and has been trying to
transfer the process to other instances. Grigoryan is sure that at
present there is no need for Armenia to recognize the NKR independence,
as such a scenario may lead to extra tension and become a serious
obstacle in the negotiations within the OSCE MG.
Grigoryan said that Armenia should not tune the world community
against itself. “The Minsk process should be preserved by any means,
as it has been leading to the international recognition of the NKR.
But if one day Baku dares to implement another adventure against
Stepanakert, in that case Armenia will be late to recognize Nagornyy
Karabakh the first. I am confident, that in case of aggression against
the NKR, its independence will be immediately recognized first of
all by the OSCE MG co-chair states – Russia, the USA and France”, –
the expert said.
