ANKARA (AA) -January 16, 2013 -Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman
Selcuk Unal said Wednesday that Turkey was providing every kind of
easiness to Armenia which was sending humanitarian aid to Armenians in
Syria.

Unal told reporters that it was a tradition for Turkey to extend a
helping hand to people in need without making discrimination of
religion, language, race or ethnical origin.

Turkey is hosting more than 150,000 Syrians who had to leave their
country due to clashes, he added.

Also, many Armenians, who escaped from Syria, reached Armenia via
Turkey, said Unal.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
