MEMBERS OF THE WESTERN ARMENIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS WERE HOSTED BY S. SARGSYAN
On December 26 Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received the Vice
Presidents of the Western Armenian National Congress non-governmental
organization Norat Ter-Grigoriants and Karen Mikaelian. Press service
of Armenian President informs about this.
Stressing the importance of maintaining relations between different
parts of the Armenian nation and deepening of cooperation, division of
labor and roles among them for the attainment of the national goals
and implementation of the programs, Norat Ter-Grigoriants and Karen
Mikaelian informed the President on the programs of the organization
which are related to the protection of the interests and rights of the
descendants of the Armenians – former citizens of the Ottoman Empire.
Serzh Sargsyan noted that it is necessary to learn the lessons of the
history, manifest practical and responsible contemporary national,
state and political thinking in the process of pursuing the Armenian
Cause.
The Western Armenian National Congress is registered in Paris in
accordance with the French legislation of 1901. It also registered
at UN ECOSOC as a non-governmental organization.
