ARMENIA CONTINUES TO DEEPEN COMPREHENSIVE MILITARY COOPERATION WITH CSTO

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 19, ARMENPRESS: The Republic of Armenia continues
its active cooperation with influential military organization, the
Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) . Armenian membership
into CSTO is a main component of Armenian Republic security system. As
Armenpress reports, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan headed to the
Russian Federation to participate in Collective Security Council
session due in Moscow on December 19.
CSTO member states heads are scheduled to accept decisions over
Organization’s military component, collective reaction system
development under emergency situations and Uzbekistan’s participation
issue in the Organization activities. Overall 20 issues are included
in session agenda.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is an
intergovernmental military alliance which was signed on 15 May 1992 .
Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, are CSTO
member states.
