UKRAINE COMMEMORATES VICTIMS OF 1988 DISASTROUS EARTHQUAKE IN ARMENIA

Commemoration ceremonies were held today in all the Armenian
churches in Ukraine at 11.41 a.m. dedicated to the victims of the
1988 disastrous earthquake in Armenia.

According to analitika.at.ua the commemoration events were held in
capital Kiyev as well.

Representatives of Armenian communities, guests, capital residents
participated in the event.

The devastating earthquake hit Armenia 23 years ago on December 7 at
11.41 a.m. Spitak and then Leninakan (today’s Gyumri) cities as well
as more than 100 villages were completely destroyed.
