Government Pursues Policy Of Money And Banking

GOVERNMENT PURSUES POLICY OF MONEY AND BANKING

ARF-Dashnaktsutyun MP Artsvik Minasyan sees two positive trends in
the draft budget for 2013 – new export-oriented strategy and new
risks identified in the budget.

Anyway, the MP says that unemployment remains number one challenge
for Armenia, with the government sitting idle.

“The year was favorable for agriculture but the government only pursued
its policy of money and banking. I urge my fellow colleagues to vote
against the bill,” Artsvik Minasyan said at the National Assembly
during the discussion of the draft budget.

Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) MP Mikael Melkumyan says the budget
is insufficient and the government will be unable to solve the tasks
it has shouldered in five years.

Mher Shahgeldyan, Secretary of the Country of Law (OEK) faction,
touched upon the positive sides of the budget, saying most of the
questions raised by his opponent colleagues referred to long-term
projects.

“Budget has become a subject of economic debates while it is a document
showing economic development. I think that we have serous work to do
in this direction,” he said.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
