ARMENIA’S FREIGHT TRAFFIC IN NINE MONTHS GROW S BY 3.2 PERCENT

YEREVAN, November 9. / ARKA /. The volume of freight traffic in
Armenia (including through pipelines) in January-September 2012
increased by 3.2 percent compared to the same period in 2011, while
the average growth in CIS was 7.2%, according to the website of the
CIS Statistical Committee.

It said the largest growth of almost 16 percent was reported by
Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan reported an 8.3% rise, Kyrgyzstan – 7.2%,
Azerbaijan – 6. 5%, Uzbekistan – 5.1%, Tajikistan – 4%. It was
followed by Armenia -3.2%, Russia – 2.7% and Ukraine – 0.1%. Moldova
and Belarus reported 4.2% and 1.7% decline respectively. -0-
