ARMENIA RISES TO NUMBER 32 IN DOING BUSINESS-2013

Armenia has improved its position in the latest Doing Business
2013 report compiled by the World Bank and International Finance
Corporation moving up 18 places to number 32 among 183 countries,
a World Bank report shows.

Armenia was ranked number 46 up from 49 for dealing with construction
permits, 101 up from 143 for getting electricity, 25 up from 98 for
protecting investors and 108 up from 152 for paying taxes.

It did drop from 10 to 11 for starting a business, from 38 to 40 for
getting credit and from 106 to 107 for trading across borders.

Georgia was number 9 in the ranking, up from 12 last year, Azerbaijan
slid from 66 to 67, Russia was number 112, Ukraine – 137, Belarus –
58, Latvia – 25, Lithuanian – 27, Estonia – 21 and Kazakhstan – 47.
