Armenian plane was scheduled to land in Turkey – Foreign Ministry

YEREVAN. Oct 15

The Armenian plane that landed at the Erzurum airport in Turkey was
scheduled to land there, Arsen Avetisyan, director of the cargo
airline Air Armenia, told Interfax.

“According to an earlier agreement, the cargo plane carrying
humanitarian cargo from Yerevan to Aleppo, Syria, was scheduled to
land in Turkey for cargo inspection. Nothing supernatural has
happened. The Turkish security services are now inspecting the cargo,”
Avetisyan said.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry told Interfax it was a scheduled landing
and took place in accordance with an earlier agreement.

The plane is carrying humanitarian aid to Syria at the initiative of
the public movement Help Your Brother.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
