Gyumri’s new mayor fires Head of the Transport Department

The newly-elected mayor of Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri,
Samvel Balasanyan, has decided to `get rid of’ the teammates of
ex-mayor Vardan Ghukasyan. Upon assuming his duties Balasanyan fired
Yura Alexanyan, Head of the Transport Department of the Gyumri
Municipality.

Alexanyan heads the Shirak structure of the Yerkrapah Volunteers Union
(YKM) and is on good terms with General Manvel Grigoryan.
