`Banants’ football club to aid Syrian Armenians

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 15, ARMENPRESS: `Banants’ football club transferred
400 000 Armenian Drams to the fund for Syrian Armenians. As Armenpress
was informed from the coach of `Banants’ Rafael Nazaryan, the
initiative to help the Syrian Armenians belonged to the club
leadership. `Taking into account the current situation in Syria our
club decided to lend a helping hand to Armenians living in Syria. More
than 30 000 people have died in a result of Syrian clashes which last
for more than 18 months.
