PanARMENIAN.Net – Ramil Safarov case undermines the negotiation
process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and poses a threat to regional
stability, Armenian Foreign Minister said.

As Edward Nalbandian noted during 67th session of the United Nations
General Assembly, the Azerbaijani criminal murdered an Armenian
officer in sleep out of the latter’s nationality.

“Azerbaijani leadership gave Safarov a hero’s welcome. Moreover,
it set him a role model for the young,” Minister Nalbandian said.

“Safarov’s case is detrimental to Nagorno Karabakh process,” he said,
expressing deep concerns over the escalating tensions in Syria.

In this context, Minister Nalbandian stressed the impossibility of
reaching a lasting agreement without termination of hostilities and
large-scale political dialogue.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
