The court hearing of the “gang case” by the general jurisdiction
court of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts in Yerevan will be held on
October 15. The chairman is Judge Mkhitar Papoyan.
Today’s hearing lasted five minutes. The accused Artush Hakobyan,
David Galstyan, Samvel Davtyan, Arman Dallakyan, and Arthur Manukyan
were brought into the courtroom. The sixth accused, Kyaram Amoyan, was
absent: he was not brought from the convicts’ hospital. Judge Papoyan
announced that he had received a Russian-language note from the doctor
who did not recommend Amoyan to attend the court hearing. The judge
also said that he will make inquiries at the convicts’ hospital to
find out whether Amoyan was not fit to attend today’s hearing or the
other hearings as well.
