Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan met Cardinal Kurt Koch, head of the
Papal Council for Promotion of Christian Unity, Armenia Today reports.

Sargsyan reminded that Armenia is the first country to adopt
Christianity as state religion. Koch said that Armenia has rich
history of preserving Christian traditions and developing them.

The Armenian leader noted the importance of Vatican in maintaining
peace, protection of human rights and tolerance.
