YEREVAN TO HOST ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON ARMENIA-RUSSIA TIES

YEREVAN. – A roundtable discussion titled “Development of
Russian-Armenian ties: history and modern time” will take place in
Yerevan on September 27.
The discussion will be dedicated to 1150th anniversary of Russia’s
statehood.
The main topics are Russia’s role in liberation movement of the
Armenian people, in early 19th century, the place of Etchmiadzin
in Russia’s policy, eastern Armenians as part of Russia’s state,
Russia’s role in settlement of the conflicts in the South Caucasus
and the state of the modern relations between Armenia and Russia.
The participants are political analysts, researchers and professors
from the Armenian universities.
