Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. “Armenia might become a power state
through normalizations of relations with Turkey and the settlement
of Nagorno Karabakh conflict”, said former and the first president of
Armenia Ter-Petrosyan, APA’s special correspondent reports from Moscow.

Speaking on the occasion of 21 years anniversary of the Armenian
independence, the leader of oppositional National Armenian Congress
Levon Ter-Petrosyan said that if Armenia wants to become a powerful
state it must normalize its relations with Turkey, to settle the
Nagorno Karabakh conflict and combat against corruption: “There is
no need to find a gun. Solve the above mentioned problems, and you
will what country Armenian will become”.

Criticizing the Present President Serzh Sargsyan, Ter-Petrosyan
mentioned that only strong political will can solve such problems.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
