SMUGGLER DETAINED IN ARMENIA’S SHIRAK AIRPORT

GYUMRI. – Karen O., who was born in 1990, was detained at 4.00 p.m. at
the Shirak airport in Armenia’s Shirak Region on Sept. 23 after the
Moscow-Yerevan flight landed, as a result of the operative measures
taken by the line employees of the airport.
He was wanted by the police of the Gyumri department and charged with
smuggling since last June, police information center reports.
According to the report issued by the U.S. State Department, Armenia
made progress in improving border security.
