Armenia’s Diaspora Minister Hranush Hakobyan received on Saturday
representatives of Diaspora-Homeland cultural union of the Australian
community Levon Damirian and Giragos Margarian, ministry’s press
office reports.
Minister Hakobyan listened to the concerns of the Australian Armenians
connected with the issues on preservation of the national identity and
language.
The guests expressed wish to raise, with the assistance of the
ministry, the cultural and national consciousness among the young
people.
The Diaspora Armenians said they are doing everything to direct
Armenians to Armenia, to get familiarized with their historic
homeland.
Minister Hakobyan welcomed the initiatives of the Australian
Armenians, stressing that the ministry is ready to assist them in
their works.
