DOLLAR RISES IN ARMENIA AT RAPID PACE

YEREVAN. – The US dollar’s average exchange rate, against the Armenian
dram (AMD), comprised AMD 410.83/$1, at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock
exchange on Tuesday, and this is a 0.45-percent-or an AMD 1.83-rise
from Monday.
Tuesday’s sales totaled $2.1 million at the stock exchange, and the
American currency was already offered at AMD 411/$1 by the end of
the day’s trading session.
The dollar went up by approximately AMD 1 in Armenia’s cash foreign
currency market. Some banks have set the US currency’s buying exchange
rate all the way at AMD 410/$1, albeit it is primarily bought at AMD
409/$1. And, by and large, the American money is sold at AMD 412/$1.
