COWORKERS OFFER THEIR NATIVE MENUS AT BLOOMINGDALE’S KARINA’S CUCHINA

On Friday, August 31, Lucy Keshishian (Handbags) offered her native
Armenian delicacies. A fashionable 23 years old, this pretty woman
cooked up many delicious treats for the 4 member panel of judges,
Eva Barron, Sophie Stone, Tina Apprich and Mel Fabrikant. The latter
three from also took pictures so that the website
audience could savor the efforts of Ms Keshishian.
Lucy K offered the following Armenian delights: Cheese Bureg, Fatoush
Salad, Armenian Pilav w. Nuts, Spices, & Meat w. Chicken top, Baneer
Kunefe also called Kadayeefi. She made enough to satisfy the palates,
not only of the judges, but also the audience and the occasional
coworker. What was interesting was the fact that she shared the
recipes and techniques as she prepared them.
After the demonstration was done, Karine Abrahamyan, Culinary
Specialist, collected all the coworkers who had participated in the
‘Culinary Olympics’ and gave each one a certificate of appreciation
commending them for their zealous efforts. They were: Eleftheria
Mokanos (H/R), Andrea Siriotis Ladies Shoes) and Ashleigh Siriotis
(Lancome) who prepared dishes from Greece. Aremenian Dishes were
prepared by Hirmin Naljayan (Fashion Accessories) and Lucy Keshishian
(Handbags).
The American dishes were prepared by Judith Chigi (Fine Jewelry) and
Nicole Pko (Visual). Representing India was Priti D’Moore (Housewares)
while an Italian presentation ws done by Margherita Areneo (Luggage).
The demos started at 1:30 PM and stretched from August 14th to August
31st. Each of the chefs did this on their own time!
