The number of public defenders increases in Armenia, Armenian Justice
Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan told reporters after a Cabinet meeting.
There are 32 public defenders providing free lawyer services to people
in Armenia.
According to the Minister, the number of public defenders will increase
by 18 totaling 50.
The Armenian government is likely to further amend Law on Advocacy
to stipulate that every lawyer must provide free legal services to
low-income people over a certain period of time, Tovmasyan added.
