MEMORIAL DEDICATED TO THE VILLAGE OF ARTSVASHEN WAS ERECTED IN CHAMBARAK

YEREVAN, AUGUST 8, ARMENPRESS: In the southern entrance to Chambarak
city of Gegharkunik province the inauguration of Memorial dedicated
to 21st anniversary of Artsvashen decline was launched .

As Armenpress correspondent reports from Gegharkunik province Armenian
top ranking officials Minister of Health Derenik Dumanyan, Deputy
Minister of Territorial Administration Artashes Bakhshyan, Gegharkunik
province administrative union head Rafik Grigoryan, representatives
of the Ministry of Defense and other officials, reportedly hundreds
of Artsvashen habitants and Chambarak community residents attended
the opening and commemoration ceremony of the memorial.

Coming forth with the blessing speech Gegharkunik Diocese Bishop Marcos
Archbishop Hovhannisyan stated in his speech that our powerful Cross
is the symbol of all our losses and compensation for future victories.

Artsvashen newly opened memorial stretching high up to nine meters long
made by iron, topped by roosted eagle , composing by old and new cross
stones will constantly remind the name and existence of the settlement.

Memorial construction costs are covered by Artsvashen community head
Mamikon Khechoyan and Chambarak mayor Yuri Avalyan.
