ARMENIAN TEENS MOST IN WORLD ATTRACTED BY ONLINE PORN

YEREVAN. – Armenia is ranked first by the number of searchers for
‘porn’ and is holding leadership since 2004. The reason for such
statistics is the absence of sexual education at home and at schools,
sexologist Vrezh Shahramanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As Vrezh Shahramanyan mentioned, according to Google Trend, Armenia
earned 100 out of 100 possible points. Armenia is followed by Turkey
(90 points), Peru (85), Romania (76), and Congo (74). Our neighbors
Georgia (59) and Azerbaijan (57) ranked 14 and 16.
“While Armenia fights against erotic and violence on TV, we register
embarrassing results of viewing not erotic but porn sites on the
Internet. We don’t have exact numbers of what percentage of teens
is using the pornographic websites but their number is rather high,”
Shahramanyan said.
According to the sexologist, the problem can be solved by applying
subjects on sexual education in schools and universities.
