YEREVAN – Armenian screenwriter, publicist and actor Vahram Sahakyan
tore his passport to pieces and threw it on the building of the
National Assembly, behind the fence, said Vahram Sahakyan on Monday
while meeting with journalists and added that there was no need to
live in Armenia, as he did not consider himself a citizen of Armenia.

In his words, many horrific things occur in Armenia, as an example
he mentioned the cases when people had tried to bribe him.

“I am a bit tired and am doing nothing now, in a country where TV
series have no end, I have nothing to do”, said the publicist and
added that at the moment he was engaged in no project and was in a
very hard financial condition.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
