YEREVAN. – Former ruling coalition member, Prosperous Armenia Party
(PAP), has not decided whether or not it will support opposition
Armenian National Congress (ANC) candidates during the local
authorities’ elections, MP from PAP parliamentary faction Naira
Zohrabyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

`Prosperous Armenia has always been for broader cooperation field.
There is no cooperation currently as PAP has not revealed
circumstances of where it is going to nominate candidates. But it will
actively participate in the local authorities’ elections,’ Naira
Zohrabyan said commenting on ANC Parliamentary Head Levon Zurabyan’s
announcement on supporting none-coalition forces.

According to her, PAP will hold a political consultation soon where
the candidates and their nomination places will be decided upon.

She said she did not know whether PAP would support ANC candidates as
the issue had not been discussed by the party.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
