Reporters asked MP Samvel Aleksanyan if going to a restaurant in
Armenia was a dangerous pursuit, taking into account that several
military physicians were beaten up a few days ago at Yerevan’s
Harsnakar restaurant.

“No one will be beaten. You can come to our restaurant and eat without
fear. You can go to Harsnakar without anything happening,” replied
Aleksanyan who owns the Parvana restaurant.

MP Aleksanyan said that people shouldn’t give Harsnakar a black name
just because of one incident.

It turns out that Aleksanyan and Ruben Hayrapetyan (another MP who
owns Harsnakar) are good buddies.

Reporters asked Aleksanyan if he had spoken to Hayrapetyan after the incident.

“He’s very angry about what happened. The people responsible have been
dismissed from their jobs. Other than that, Hayrapetyan will let the
law take its course,” said Aleksanyan.

He added that the Harsnakar waiter and security employee who beat up
the army doctors were not friends of Hayrapetyan.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
