French socialists reconfirm their intention to criminalize denial of
Armenian genocide

YEREVAN, JUNE 15, ARMENPRESS: Socialist representative of French
senate Philippe Kaltenbach held a meeting with ambassador
extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to France
Vigen Chitechyan. Armenpress reports citing Nouvelles d’Armenie that
during the meeting Kaltenbach reconfirmed his commitment to defend the
memory of Armenian genocide victims from denial encroachments. `The
newly elected French President also shares this commitment, which will
soon turn to legislative initiative. The denial must never take place
in the territory of our Republic’ mentioned Philippe Kaltenbach. The
socialist senator also declared that he and his colleagues would host
with pleasure their Armenian partners from Armenia-France friendship
group in November of current year.
