“The role of mass media in the modern phase of Armenian-Turkish
relations” round table discussion was held today by the initiative
of Yerevan press club and Eurasia Cooperation Foundation. Turkish
journalists and public activists arrived in Armenia to attend the
conference.
“Armenian-Turkish relations are favorable for the both parties. I
hope that the protocols will soon be brought into life and that
diplomatic relations will be established,” director of World political
developments research center based in Turkey Mensur Akgyun said.
He said that the tough situation with the Armenian-Turkish protocols is
conditioned by Azerbaijan’s interference. “It can be easily explained
– Turkey receives oil from Azerbaijan and has lots of investment in
that country,” he said.
