“Though we invited Russian and Iranian ambassadors to the presentation
of film “Without Lachin”, they didn’t come”

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Ali Hasanov, Deputy Prime Minister,
Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Refugees and IDPs
criticized the Iranian and Russian ambassadors to Azerbaijan
for non-participation in the event on the 20th anniversary of the
occupation of Lachin by Armenian armed forces and being indifferent
to the events on the anniversary of occupation of Azerbaijan’s
lands, said Hasanov in his speech in the presentation of the film
“Without Lachin”. He said that though we invited Russian and Iranian
ambassadors to the event they didn’t come. Just representative of
the Iranian embassy participated in the event.

Hasanov said that it needs to change the format of commemoration
ceremonies of the occupied regions: “We can show the annexationist
policy of Armenia to the world and growing-up generations and
strengthen national patriotic feelings. But we must refuse to show the
suffering endured by our people during the occupation. In generally,
it needs to stop crying in the commemoration days.”

The appeal of Nurlana Nursuz, who has been taken captive with her
mother and lost her mother in captivity, as well as became blind as a
result of inhuman treatment by the Armenians, to president of Armenia
Serzh Sargsyan was read in the event. IDPs from Lachin appealed the UN,
European Council, OSCE and foreign countries embassies in Azerbaijan
on the 20th anniversary of the occupation of Lachin.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
